The last few trips, Disney Springs is so crazy crowded, it feels more so than the parks... Well, Gideon's does have a virtual queue...
Cheers.

Seems you are well versed on “ bartenders”. Maybe we should have another thread started on “Favorite Bars at Disney Springs”! I have to admit that, while I eat plenty of food , I'm not much of a foodie. Love Raglan Road for the entertainment and the bartenders. Love Boathouse for the dock view and the bartenders. Love TRex and Rainforest Cafe for the themes. LOL - once we discovered the immediacy of sitting at the bar versus waiting for a table we were hooked. We love the spontaneousness of sitting at the bar. Truthfully, I can appreciate the theming of a restaurant better from a higher seat (how's that for justification )

Love TRex and Rainforest Cafe for the themes. Also not a foodie… Raglan Rd used to be a favorite, but has fallen off the radar for us. Last couple of times, the food was only so-so. And I find that loud noises bother me more than they did, pre-pandemic. Maybe because I’m out of practice dealing with large crowds? Dunno. Pretty sure we are done with that one, though. We do love the dinosaurs at T-Rex, I think because Brandon was always such a fanatic. The food is okay, and I can always find something non-offensive to eat. We will definitely hit Ghirardelli’s again for ice cream, though! I haven’t looked at the menu for Polite Pig, but I don’t eat BBQ beef or pork. My parents had a BBQ catering business when I was a teenager, and I won’t touch the stuff now. Just the thought kills my appetite. BBQ chicken I can occasionally do. And I’ll cook country style ribs. But NO pulled pork, sliced brisket, etc. Basically, give me a hand-dipped corn dog and an ice cream cone, and I’m fine! I am sensitive to noise - more so as I age (I can't blame the pamie on that). We're picky about where we sit at RR. Outside along the fence or inside at the bar - the side bar is the best (by the kitchen entrance). The side bar doesn't pick up kitchen noise, although there can be server traffic, and it provides an excellent view of the performance stage. Both bars are far enough from the 'cloggers' (as I call 'em ) to deal with the noise.

I just discovered the virtual queue this past fall. So far it still hasn't worked for me but I told DH that the next time we go, first I'll sign up for the VQ and then go hit the bars.

Even with mobile order they give you a tracker to put on the table that has to go on the mat. I wasn’t paying attention and had mine off to the side and it doesn’t work. I missed the fine print…it’s not so fine either. The chicken sandwich is decent here too although deep fried. But, it’s healthy at Disney, right? How do you get the tracker and your drinks when you mobile order? 2-3 years ago, D-Luxe had a "secret" menu in the mobile order that included some very nice BLTs...the bacon was crazy thick and the bread was thick and toasted as only a restaurant could do it. I wish they would bring that back. When I do a mobile order, I go to the pick up area and they give me one. If they do not offer one, I would ask. Then you can snag a table, get some water/pop, sauces, etc and wait.

Not always. On the weekends it can grow to 4-5 hours too. Last time, we timed it almost right. We arrived around 11 am, VQ was 2 ish hours so we ate, shopped and had 10-15 extra to wait. I wanted the VQ

Pepe, attached to Jaleo. If you like Jaleo, try Pepe for a quick/casual meal. We had lunch at pepe last trip; DW and I shared a sandwich, patatas bravas (same as on the Jaleo menu) and gazpacho. Loved it, can't wait to go back.
