Going to follow this TR. When we visited this summer we have much the same impressions of the park. We loved it. The Marvel area was really well done kind of like Carsland at DL is. It is just better themed than anything at MK. That is my biggest issue with WDW. It feels "cheaper" than DL and DLP. Maybe it is just because it is familiar but DL and DLP still seemed to highlight live actors so much more (like Epcot and DHS used to do).
While in Frontierland at DLP the actors came out of the saloon and had a shootout. When in DLP the Marvel characters came out for a show. just more humans that are characters.

This sounds reminiscent of the live action attractions at Universal, a definite strength of theirs over WDW. There were three, I believe, at DHS, and now down to one. Disney (WDW anyway) lags here.
Cheers.

We noticed that when the characters were on their way to their official meeting spot, they were happy to stop and pose for photos and so on. Chip and Dale walked all the way through Frontierland, stopping to “lark about” with guests before making their way round towards Big Thunder. Once they got to their photo area, they played hide and seek with some kids first and then swapped their Halloween hats with the kids’ baseball caps. It was really nice seeing the interaction. Same with the Queen of Hearts who was walking behind a guy who at first didn’t realise she was there. She kept on making faces and miming “off with his head”. Once he noticed her she played it up even further.

Great TR. Unfortunately I dont think I can talk DW into travelling across the Atlantic (and we're East Coast). So I guess i have to live through everyone else's TR's.

Great TR! Thanks for sharing! I would love to know what you're up to the rest of the trip! When I’m back home and can use a regular keyboard, I can give a summary of my additional 5 days in Paris. As a preview, we’re having a wonderful time. So far, I’d have to say the most stunning aspect has been the Eiffel Tower. What a gorgeous structure, especially at night. The most disappointing - the food. I had pretty high expectations with the food and it has failed to live up to those expectations. Overall IMO, much better food in Italy, Japan, and even Prince Edward Island and Southern California.

Last 5 days in Paris - we did most all of the tourist stuff. Here is a quick summary:
1. Must dos - Photos at the Eiffel Tower at night. We didn't go up since you can't see the tower when you go up. Go to the top of the Arc de Triomphe at night. There is a great city view. Our top museums are d'Orsay and l'Orangerie. The Louvre is overrated and, because of the Mona Lisa, is like rope drop getting to Rise of the Resistance. It's actually a bit ridiculous.
2. So-so - The Palace of Versailles. While nice, if you've been to other palaces in Europe, you won't be amazed. We all felt the Residence in Munich is much better. The gardens might be worth it, but not in winter. It is large, but bigger is not always better.
3. Disappointing - As I mentioned earlier, the food did not live up to our expectations.
We capped off our trip at the city fireworks at the Arc at midnight on New Year's!
