I have seen a number of people vaping inside the parks. Now, I know that smoking is not allowed but can people vape inside the parks?

Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated smoking areas. Where can guests smoke? Guests may smoke in designated areas located outside the park entry points and in specified areas at Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. |

As Johb said , same as regular smoking. The issue is that it is very hard for CM to police, they tell them to stop and they shut it off and put it in their pocket walk 50 yards and start using it again. It can also be done in a much more stealthy way. Once again lack of respect for the rules and other guests around them.

Well, from what I have seen there are more than a few people not complying with those rules. Whereas, I have not seen anyone smoking cigarettes inside the parks since Disney laid down the rules to smoke in designated areas outside of the parks.

You are %100 percent correct. No offense to anyone that vapes, but the rules are in place for a reason. It seems easier to “hide” when walking thru the parks. DW has said she’s seen CM’s say something, but it needs to be really obvious. We find it offensive, and as reformed smokers we hold our breath walking by the IG smoking section. Even our 10 and 7 year old kids comment about it and hold their breath.

Apparently some smokers actually become sick if they go too long without smoking. My youngest had a friend who was having an issue and we were not anywhere where she could've easily exitted the park or hidden a quick toke or two. I never knew that happened. Of course, we don't smoke.... However, we have seen people who are smoking/vaping - well, either that or their butts were on fire.  |

Good for you for being reformed! I'm working on it. But, in the meantime, please keep comments to your immediate party if you are not doing so. I'm not at all implying that your family does this, but I tire of people giving dirty looks or comments when passing a designated area. We rule followers don't get to choose the locations. |

Yes, I saw a lady actually walk up to a designated smoking area (outside the park) and start yelling at everyone in there. I was walking past that area at the time and informed her it was a designated area, that they have every right to be there and if the smoke bothers her so much, why would she walk over to it when I saw her originally very far away. Got called a name as I’m assuming she didn’t have an answer and flustered that someone called her out on her rudeness. I don’t smoke, but hey….this world is big enough for everyone to enjoy what they do, we just have to be respectful to each other. |

Got hit with vape in the face in Oct. Really obnoxious and made my eyes sting. Vaping is so much easier to do it on the sly though. |

I or my family don’t make comments, or give looks. To some people my NY mouth can offend people. I get it, and try my best to be aware of my location and people around me, and do my best. Vapor'ers are gonna vape......Too many feel they are above the rules. No different than the DAS abusers or the service dog abusers, some people feel they are more entitled than the rest of us.
I get some rules are stupid, some are just theater.....but other rules are there to protect others or help other, that they choose to ignore.

I'd much prefer vapers to smokers as the byproduct is far less offensive at a distance. This is just my preference, of course. They get theirs as well

Truthfully I would rather people vape than smoke cigarettes. Doesn’t bother me outside. Considering the vapers I have seen at Disney World are not in designated smoking areas, I actually would prefer smokers because they won't be trying to smoke in my face anymore. |
