Today is Day 5 for both of them and they are already getting their sense of taste back. It seems that they had pretty mild symptoms. I think the Paxlovid was a big help, DW says she feels just fine. No Disney trip for us until April. We just got back a few weeks ago from a week in a 2BR at Kidani SV... all 9 of us! That’s awesome! Still have to work around the school schedule? We are considering a long weekend in April. We’ll see Yes, DD has to work around the school schedule... bur we don't! Lol

Tomorrow we have Thanksgiving with our eldest at her house. We have the leftovers all packed up in their serving dishes ready to pop in her oven to reheat. She volunteered to come to our house but Gkids have taught us that it's easier to let them continue to destroy their own house while we all socialize. I might bring the 'pet' gate so we don't spend the day trying to stop the 1y from climbing various stairs. LOL Today we're off to a local winery for a 100 crafters event. Our version of Black Friday shopping.

Next weekend DH will be twisting my arm about purchasing our trees. We got a very realistic reusable tree with some lights (that we add to). Easy to get as it lives in the closet
Cheers.

Ours lives in the storage building out back. Every year we say we are buying a new tree, and every year we drag this one back out. But it was the last tree my grandmother bought, and I just can’t bring myself to replace Mamie’s tree. When our son moved back home 12 years ago, he brought with him 2 fake trees and fake tree ornaments. Maybe on Sunday I'll get him to go into the crawl space and bring out the trees, with ornaments, and see what we can use (or throw away). I think one of the trees is teal or pink - nobody can quite remember. To me buying a few real trees is a lot easier. Post holiday we put them on the curb for the Township to haul to the mulch center. I think it's easier and just as sustainable as a fake tree. DH only hates fighting with the tree stands, which I have to admit is a pain.

We just pull the box out of the closet and put together. The stand is really easy.
And we've eliminated pretty much all generic ornaments in favor of things we've collected over the years that have significance. So that part is the same
Cheers.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had dinner at my aunts house (with about 30 in attendance). It was a potluck (my family brought green beans, rolls, and jellied cranberry sauce) so we had a nice variety of items. Now comes the leftovers, just had some for lunch. 😊

Late to the Thanksgiving well wishes. Hope everyone had nice holidays. I enjoyed all of the recent Disney/Universal memories coming up on my FB and phone memories. Today had memories from 2020-pizza from Giordano's and wine on the balcony at BWV., 2015 holiday sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich (and another pic of the proud explorers FINALLY finishing their Wilderness explorer books,) pics from the BEST last minute (like booked week of ) trip to Universal, stay at Hard Rock in 2018, etc. etc. These memories make me smile. This year I worked all week, except Thursday, DH picked up DD from UT Chattanooga, she survived her first Black Friday working at the mall, DS passed his driving test, and will get his license next week (more gray hair coming....) Hope everyone continues to have wonderful days leading into holidays next month!!

Every year I debate buying a tree (fake for sure). Sometime it’s bound to happen…
