I had heard that Disney + was raising their prices but when I logged into my account yesterday to see by how much and when my billing date was, I almost spit out my coffee! $140?!?! I can't say I think it's worth that but I am also sure my family would kill me if I cancelled. Last year, it was only $80. It's nearly doubled in a year. I looked into the Hulu-Disney+ bundle but that doesn't really offer a savings. I was just wondering your thoughts. Are you paying or cancelling? As always, the Mouse just finds ways to take my money

Yep, they increased prices last year and I was lucky to renew at the old prices. I nearly didn't renew last year as I honestly was thinking they'd offer a small discount for D23 or something. I rarely watch it so we'll ditch it at renewal time.

I think in October Disney is offering an add supported option for 7.99/ month. The Hulu bundle will be 9.99/ month. This is about what I am paying for both Sept now. Is something changing that I missed?

Is something changing that I missed? I paid $151.54 in 2019 for 3 years. With tax just regular D+ was $85.99 last year. This year it is $139.99 plus tax. Almost what I paid for 3 years when it first came out. I rarely watch it now. The $7.99 has ads. The $139.99 a year does not. Like for like, huge jump. Then increases set to come next month too tvline.com/news/disney-plus-price-increase-hulu-subscription-cost-1235026037/

I have zero idea on what I am paying for Disney+. We signed up before it rolled out, getting that super low multi-year deal.

I paid $140.97 for the first three years. Then renewed for $84.79 last year. My next renewal will be in November. And yup, the new bill will be $139.99 for the year.
So Disney+ will cost me $11.67 per month. My initial subscription cost me $3.92 per month.

Me thinks your tax rate is better than ours. I only knew by looking up the history. We just barely watch it. Not sure it's worth keeping. We'll see how I feel come Nov.

Yep, same here. I knew they started too low at the beginning and looking at it monthly makes it seem more reasonable but it's still pricey.

Thanks for the warning! I wasn't aware of the increase, but when I checked my account, the trio premium bundle (Hulu+ no ads, Disney+, and espn+) was rising to $24.99 / month starting 10/12. That's $300 a year. I dropped to only Hulu+, with ads. We rarely even watch Hulu, and almost never D+ and have never even logged into the espn+. Not worth $300!

Likely most streaming services will be going up to support the writers and actors in their request for equity in wages. We don't have Disney+, but do have Netflix, so will likely see something there.
Cheers.

Do you have the Amazon Prime Netflix ? Do they have a package or am I thinking about something else? Maybe cancel everything in January but I love holidays stuff. I was about to cancel Sirius XM last week and then found out they steam Halloween music nonstop like it’s the holiday before Xmas
Definitely not renewing WDW AP in January .

We also have Paramount+, but I get that for free via a credit card.
Cheers.

Wow! Was just thinking about this earlier today, subscriptions in general. I pay for Hulu, Netflix, MAX, formerly HBO, STARZ, and Amazon Prime, there may be one more or another but it eludes me right now. I rarely watch any of them but keep them just in case. I keep Amazon for the free shipping and the streaming is icing on the cake. I keep STARZ to watch new episodes of Outlander when they eventually come out. MAX for a couple of things I’m waiting to drop, The Gilded Age to be specific. Just found out that Netflix is cracking down on my brother who I share my password with. My husband thinks I’m crazy. My DD generously shares their Disney+ with us, we do not abuse it but now with the price increase not sure if she will be keeping it.
I can’t help but think the streaming services are shooting themselves in the foot with the rates going up, up and higher, Disney in particular. People are just going to cancel and then what? They will be offering more “deals” in the future.

I believe some stuff on Paramount+ can be seen on PlutoTV and it’s free. Been interested the the new Fraser re-boot and found it will be streaming on PlutoTV at no extra cost.
