I am feeling kind of dumb because I never realized this was happening. We always put a card on file during online check in and we charge on the magic bands. Haven’t had any kind of issue so far and I don’t check on my card balance during a trip. Of course I look at the itemized bill when we get it but have not seen the 100$ hold. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Over the past 5 years or so, most banking/CC apps have come out with the option for you to receive a notification on your phone when your account or CC is charged for something, even if it's a pending charge, or a hold. I use and appreciate this a lot. It's been really interesting to see how some of the (legitimate) charges that come through on my card. |
