My thought is that my family should buy the discounted pass right away, on the theory that it will be snatched away again. I've been mad for 2 years that we have been unable to buy an AP, considering how quickly they went off sale after returning in 2021. My anger has been rekindled every time I see another story about an AP perk (and I've seen more in the last 2 years than I ever remember seeing before...but that may be selection bias).
But, I also wonder if we'll use it every year to the extent required to make the $ work, and my son is about to go off to college...will we still need one for him, etc.
I long for the old days when we could buy one in the years we know that we'll have 2 trips within 12 months.

Since we are not going back until Dec 2024, I will just wait until next January to buy them. Now to save for them$$$$$! You are assuming they will still be selling them in January. I thought this back in 2021 when they started selling the passes again. |

My sister made that mistake October of 2021. She regretted it for the next two years. Shout out for the bloggers. I was monitoring articles analyzing when Disney World might start selling annual passes. And they predicted April after Easter and the height of spring break. They were right. The next possible slow dates were May and August. That's when demand drops the most. But I'm thinking January might be high demand. |

I seem to remember last time they were on sale it only lasted a short time before they were pulled again. I suspect they will only be on sale until Disney think they have sold “enough” APs. |

Also the no reservation for AP holders after 2pm starts 4/18...just a couple of days before the AP are on sale to the general public again. So that all goes together. This may be the source of the prediction that sales would start again in April.

Even though they may be not available to the general public, maybe still for DVC members. Doesn’t make any sense for me to buy now since we aren’t going until Dec 2024. Since they are only good for one year the earliest I could buy them would be say 12/10 to give myself a few days buffer. So will have to pray for some pixie dust! |

Bummer...we were going to jump into the AP party just as they shut it down for Covid. Now we're ready and 3 of our dates in December are blacked out.
