So - I was supposed to be backing off a bit from the bubble…besides lol 😂 I am outta points again ( VGC trip 14 days and counting ) Anyhow- I was looking for Vegas last month on Interval and came across an OKW unit in March available for exchange full week under $500 (exchange fee, Disney tax ect) That room wasn’t there previously- or I wouldn’t be going to Vegas lol someone must have thrown it back in the pool. Honestly never planned on it-, no park reservations, no dining ect just kinda happened Ok so I have no experience with II (or RCI before that) do you need to have made an exchange or somehow validated that you own dvc to do that? Or can anyone just shop for cash reservations and you got lucky? |

Might be able to do this by myself in March when 15yo kid is with the band. Tomorrow is 60+ for first half. Do they do it by 60 days or 60+?

I always called 180 days out from our first day of the stay. So, now it’s 60 like with dining. They didn’t know back then what the heck I was talking about and they would have to go ask someone so I would imagine with all the newbies it’s even worse now. I figure with my crazy split stay, I'll be shut out of a lot. D and I need to figure out park reservations too for our last part. He'll be doing DHS, MK and Epcot with the band. |

Ok so taking this bit by bit- For the accidental March trip I used my own II platinum account - not the one associated with DVC…( DVC membership is cooperate gold level ) and a unit I had deposited that I wasn’t using… Any one with any type of of II account can deposit OR shop the cash “getaways” tremendous bargains IMO - just read the fine print…These are available even through the cooperate DVC membership. RCI same kinda deal if you you have a membership you can deposit OR purchase cash “extra vacations” & “last calls”- These have been incredibly helpful my son has used 3 since August… |
