They did increase in February for daily tickets at WDW. AP was last Oct as far as I can find. Yes, I wonder if the WDW AP price will go up this month or not due to the soft WDW attendance. We are planning on getting a new AP in December. Do they historically increase every year? I believe so. |

I don't know how far out the dates go on their tickets. I would recommend checking them out. I've purchased tickets many times from them (as have others). |

Since the equation is, and should be, about the bottom line, if they can increase prices, see a further small drop but also decrease staffing to account for the reduced attendance, the equation may work in favor of an increase. If they run the numbers and this works, they'd be criminally irresponsible not to do it.
I'd expect the increase, but maybe relatively small.

That was very interesting to see. Effectively, WDW has raised prices almost every year. I was surprised to see that prices were increased even during the great recession. I suppose they counter in bad times with discounts. My 3rd trip ever to WDW was a crazy deal during the great recession where they gave a $1000 gift card that pretty much covered almost all of the hotel (Pop Century) and tickets. I often brag that Disney was almost paying me to show up that time. |

During the recession prices barely rose but they did. But if calculated what I was paying for when I first started buying APs it should be $650 or less. That's a full AP too. It's more than double that now. I don't mind some increases but some of these feel out of line. |

Well damn...his video has been on my suggested video's list yesterday and today. Guess I should have watched it so I'm glad I checked in on MO and found this thread.
We're going to DL next year. Don't have the room fully nailed down (working on that) and waiting on Southwest to publish the dates we need to compare flights and airports before buying airfare but after looking into this price hike I just called a quick family meeting and all agreed to grab our park tickets now while TicketsatWork and UC still have the old prices.
For the 3-day park hoppers we planned to buy, new Disney prices are $70 more per ticket than TaW/UT making it $350 more for the 5 of us. New Disney prices are $80 more per ticket or $400 more overall for 3-day w/ park hopper + LL. I'm still leaning towards just deciding on whether to buy or not buy LL each morning vs. buying now for all 3 days but I guess I need to weigh the pros and cons before I get deal with tickets in the morning.
On our past DL trips we've purchased MagicPass because it does provide a great benefit at DLR (more-so than at WDW). And, for us park hopping is a no-brainer since you just cross the promenade to go from one park to the other. We typically hop back and forth every day at DLR.

Well, as always, grateful for this community! Got my tickets for spring break! We are only buying 3 days of tickets but now that my son is a Disney adult (seriously he's 11). Buying them at UT saved me a decent chunk of change. The savings will fund several QS meals for our family of 4!
